Icons, Innovators, and Inspirational Philanthropists
The 2025 CFDA Awards will take place on November 3, 2025, at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, where the best and brightest will gather to celebrate an amazing year in luxury couture.
One of the fashion industry’s most prestigious awards, the CFDA Awards will once again be presented in partnership with Amazon Fashion for the 4th consecutive year. It’s the annual announcement that every designer waits for, and the award that every aspiring designer hopes to receive.
Without further ado, here are the 2025 CFDA Award Nominees.
American Womenswear Designer of the Year
- Wes Gordon – Carolina Herrera
- Rachel Scott – Diotima
- Daniella Kallmeyer – Kallmeyer
- Ralph Lauren
- Tory Burch
Featuring a welcome mix of established fashion houses and emerging brands, the Womenswear category is undoubtedly one to watch this year.
We are thrilled to see the iconic Ralph Lauren, and his eponymous fashion house, back on the list of CFDA nominees this year. Although Ralph Lauren has been a favorite of discerning luxury buyers for decades, the brand has been absent from the CFDA Awards since Ralph was awarded the 2018 CFDA Members Salute, in honor and recognition of his undeniable impact on the evolution of American fashion and style.
After winning this category last year, and also taking home the award for Emerging Designer in 2023, could Rachel Scott make it a three-peat? Her luxury brand Diotima has been making the fashion industry sit up and take notice, with her distinctive combination of Caribbean influence, impeccable tailoring, and handwoven crochet pieces.
Adding to her lengthy list of accomplishments, in September 2025, Rachel Scott was also named as the new creative director for Proenza Schouler.
American Menswear Designer of the Year
- Mike Amiri – AMIRI
- Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta – Eckhaus Latta
- Ashley Olson and Mary-Kate Olson – The Row
- Thom Browne
- Willy Chavarria
In their first of two nominations this year, Ashley Olson and Mary-Kate Olson are in the running for their contributions to American Menswear, via their luxury fashion label The Row.
After their unprecedented segue from child actors into impactful luxury fashion designers, Mary-Kate and Ashley have continued to take the fashion world by storm. Their luxury brand The Row has won previously in both Womenswear and Accessories, and only time will tell if they can pull off a CFDA trifecta.
Since 2014, AMIRI has been outfitting stylish men and women around the world with designer denim, sophisticated streetwear, and extravagant leather pieces that are supple and sensuous. Eckhaus Latta also has a well-deserved nomination this year, after continuously pushing the envelope with provocative campaigns and cutting-edge gender-inclusive creations that are equal parts swag and sophistication.
Rounding out the fabulous five nominees are Willy Chiavarra, who was the Menswear award recipient in both 2023 and 2024, and Thom Browne.
American Accessory Designer of the Year
- Anna Khouri
- Catherine Holstein – Khaite
- Raul Lopez – Luar
- Ashley Olson and Mary-Kate Olson – The Row
- Tory Burch
Every woman knows that the perfect fashion look isn’t complete without the right mix of accessories. Whether you favor a “less is more” approach, or live by a “more is more” motto, these designers have put their own stamp on the fashion industry with innovative accessories that turn even a simple little black dress into a bona fide standout.
Nominated this year in not one, but two, different categories, Tory Burch and The Row founders Ashley Olson and Mary-Kate Olson make their second appearance on the list of nominees for Accessory Designer of the Year.
Anna Khouri is relatively new to the game, but she has always played her hand as if she were at the top of her game. Khouri brings a bespoke, sculptural quality to her jewelry collections, which are handcrafted with rare and precious gems, metals, stones, and natural woods.

- Taylor Thompson – 5000
- Ashlynn Park – ASHLYN
- Julian Louie – Aubero
- Bernard James
- Colleen Allen
If the CFDAs have anything to say about it, the names above could soon be popping up in luxury boutiques and high-end shopping meccas around the world.
But the best part? These young emerging designers are driven by a mission greater than mere profit, with a commitment to do their part to curb the negative impact of overconsumption. For example, Ashlynn Park has built her brand around a zero-waste production model, and Julian Louie crafts his designs using repurposed fabric scraps and textiles.
We can’t wait to see what’s next for these blossoming designers, as they effectively combine style with sustainability into 2026 and beyond.
2025 CFDA Honorees
Each year, the CFDA presents high-profile awards to deserving honorees that have impacted or changed the global fashion industry throughout the course of their careers.
Jerry Lorenzo – Fear of God Innovation Award
Since bringing his first collection forward in 2013, Fear of God founder Jerry Lorenzo has established himself as a visionary who has helped usher in a new era of upscale casual wear. Ever since his streetwear-inspired creations caught the eye of late Off-White founder Virgil Abloh, and eventually Abloh’s business partner Kanye West, Lorenzo’s rise to the top has been nothing short of meteoric. With collections catering to a global audience, including Fear of God, Fear of God Essentials, and Fear of God Athletics, Jerry Lorenzo is credited with building a safe space for luxury consumers, defined by community, connection, and cultural diversity.
Donatella Versace is the undisputed queen of the haute couture industry, with her signature flowing blond locks, Mona Lisa smile, and trendsetting designs that continuously set the industry ablaze. However, her influence extends well beyond the runway.
Donatella is being awarded with the Positive Change Award in recognition of her commitment to philanthropy and advocacy, specifically within the LGBTQ+ community. Her actions speak louder than her words, as she proves that all are welcome into this fast-paced, flashy, and flamboyant industry, where innovation comes in all forms.
